Some Party Events to Sign Up for:

3 km Guided Trail Walk A guided walk will be held starting at 1:00 PM from the Dynamite Trail booth and will walk in an Easterly direction to the Mushamush Bridge. Frequent stops will occur along the way and some of the history and folklore of the trail will be told. Talks will include stories from the whole trail but the walk will only include the first 1.5 kms; which is a 3 kms walk with the return to the Welcome Street area. The walk will be limited to the first 25 persons who sign up at info@dynamitetrail.ca so everyone can have a front row standing place for the talks. If the walk is full, you could drop by the Dynamite Trail booth at 1:00 PM and take the place of anyone who does not show.  To sign up please send an email info@dynamitetrail.ca

9.6km Guided Trail Walk Join this guided walk from Martins River to Mahone Bay (9.6 km )at 9:30am and learn about the history of the trail and the rail line once known locally as HSW (Hellishly Slow and Wobbly). Prizes will be awarded at key locations along the trail and the walk will join the celebration and party awaiting at trail’s end near Welcome Street in Mahone Bay. Meet at the Martins River Parking lot on Station Road just west of the Martins River Fire Hall at 9:30 to shuttle cars. Bring a snack and hydration. Food is available for purchase at the celebration. Dress for the weather. Limit of 25 participants. Sign up at info@dynamitetrail.ca

Guided Bike Ride Sweet Ride Cycling will be hosting a guided bike ride starting at 12 noon and will go from Mahone Bay along the Bay to Bay Trail to the Art Installation in Martins Brook (14km return ride). This ride will be suitable for all ages and abilities with several stops along the way to point out interesting facts and features of the trail. To sign up please book in advance by contacting info@sweetridecycling.com. If you would like to book a Rental bike for this ride call (902)531-3026 or email info@sweetridecycling.com.

Location and Parking

The party is at one of the Dynamite Trail Parking Lots in Mahone Bay at the corner of Wye and Welcome Streets. It’s very near the Saltbox Brewery so if you can find your way there you’ll be close by.

There is no parking at the event since it will be full of tents, musicians, ATVs and a very large fire truck. There will be parking attendants on hand to direct you. Bayview School is a 5 min walk away and has a large parking lot.

P1 is a large field at the top of the hill, parking attendants will be on hand to direct you. 50 spots.

P2 Small private lot for exhibitors. 6 spots

P3 Bayview School. 50 spots. A 5 min walk to the party site.

P4 Longhill Road. 6 sites for exhibitors

P5 Clearland Road Trail Parking lot. 6 spaces. 10 min walk to the event.

P6 Town of Mahone Bay has several municipal lots.
