Mushamush Bridge repairs ongoing
Concrete work on the bridge was completed last summer. Now work on the steel area is taking place.
Allsteel did a great job on the Martins River Bridge and that bridge should last another several generations. They are doing the same kind of work on the Mushamush Bridge and even with the handling, cleaning and air filtration equipment they are using there may be some trace amounts of dust or paint fumes in the area during working hours. Sandblasting of the metal substructure is taking place- the huge blue tubes gather up the waste from this process for proper disposal.
The bridge is entirely encapsulated in the work area to prevent any material from going into the environment.
Please slow down in this area and watch for workers.
Thanks to the crew from Allsteel working long weeks repairing the bridge and protecting the environment at the Mushamush Bridge.
